The Medicare Savings Program is managed through the Department of Tenncare. It takes about 45 days to process your application once received. If approved, there are various levels of assistance that you can be approved for such as QMB, SLMB, QI, and QDWI. Most likely, you will be approved for assistance if you earn no more than $1,200 gross per month. Also, if your resources cannot exceed over $7,800 to be considered for qualification.
